Woldia University is one of the federal universities built among a group of 3rd generation Universities in Ethiopia. Woldia University is established in 2011, the College of Agriculture has been launched with six departments: Agricultural Economics, Animal Production and Technology, Plant Science, Soil and Water Resource Management, Rural Development and Agricultural Extension and School of Veterinary Medicine. College of Agriculture is designed by three pillars of teaching - learning, research and community service in a wide range of fields to meet the growing demand of trained manpower for agriculture. The area has a potential for crop, fruit and livestock production. Our effort is to produce competent students in the sector of agriculture and also we will try to serve the community by engaging research, community service and technology transfer. Strong participation of academic and administration staff is the first cornerstone for the success of our mission.
